Building Surveying

Party wall act

Acting as either the building owner’s party wall surveyor or the adjoining owners party wall surveyor.

Building defects

Diagnosing building defects, providing detailed specifications for remedial works and, using the quantity surveying skills within the practice, offering detailed cost estimates for the proposed work.

Condition surveys

Undertaking detailed surveys of the existing condition of a structure, whether this be for the purpose of purchasing/selling a property, start/completion of a lease or in conjunction with the Party Wall, etc. Act. 1996 or as part of a planned maintenance or stock improvement programme.

Measured surveys

Creating internal floor plans using Autocad with varying levels of detail from simple wall, column, door and window surveys to a fully detailed data set including all 3D information (cill & head heights of the openings, ceiling heights, beam details etc.).

Schedules of dilapidations

Providing advice on the dilapidations procedure and preparing reports, whether these be interim or terminal final inspections in relation to a lease term.

Refurbishment and maintenance of existing buildings

Advising on the refurbishment and maintenance of all types of commercial and residential property including providing drawings, specifications and a full contract management service.

Alterations and extensions of existing buildings

Liaising with clients to establish the extent of alterations or extensions required, preparing feasibility studies and drawings, obtaining all necessary statutory consents and totally managing the tender and contract process.
