Understanding the specific needs of a particular project by liaising closely with the client and their other appointed consultants to produce a project specific set of ‘Employer’s Requirements’ to be used for tendering and contract purposes.
Contract management
Taking the role of ‘Employer’s Agent’, effectively acting as a Contract Administrator, chairing and producing minutes for all meetings and issuing all necessary contract instructions and certificates as required under a design and build contract.
Design compliance audits
Undertaking checks on drawings and specifications to see that they comply with the Employer’s Requirements, including setting up a formal commenting procedure to create an audit trail of decision making.
Housing Quality Assessments (HQI’s)
Preparing the necessary HQI assessments for contracts involving affordable housing to see that they achieve the desired scores.
